Jim Channell

Jim started his trading career at the age of 18 by trading commodities and studying the work of Ken Roberts. He charted markets using The Wall Street Journal and followed Jake Bernstein’s futures trading. Jim soon entered the business world, becoming a young entrepreneur and owning dozens of businesses across several retail industries. As his business interests grew from retail stores to residential and large commercial properties, he continued trading and developing his market knowledge. He developed a love of studying all facets of the stock market. His true passion became equities and commodities, but he also studied currencies, options, futures, and ETFs. As his stores became more self-sufficient, Jim was able to devote more time to trading. He became proficient in day trading, swing trading, and position trading. Jim’s true love is actively day trading the markets full time, and his approach to market analysis is unique. He constantly analyzes oversold and overbought opportunities, sideways channels, pennant formations, bull flags, and buying and selling pressure. He uses support and resistance, pivot points, ATRs, pressure charts, and candlestick charts. Jim has a keen eye for evaluating trades with attention to price and caution. His precise entry timing, intended to capture as much of each move as possible, has made him an extremely successful and proficient trader while profiting millions of dollars.

Jim Channell founded Equity-Alerts.com in 2014. He helped create a live market chat room where traders from around the world can participate, learn alongside the team, and improve their trading techniques and abilities.

Jim has more than 30 years of trading experience and has spent thousands of hours studying and trading alongside some of the most notable traders. His passion for trading has allowed him to truly love what he does while far surpassing what he once imagined.

Lindsey Perry

Lindsey is Jim’s trading partner. While studying for his BS in Accounting at Bucknell University, Lindsey became fascinated with stocks and trading. Drawing and reading charts for stocks and indexes became a passion in college, and it has continued ever since. After graduating, Lindsey followed his college major and worked at a small accounting and tax firm for five years while expanding his experience to include equity and investment services. After moving to Nantucket, he owned and ran several successful businesses, but his interest in reading charts and trading stocks continued to grow. Eventually, Lindsey’s efforts turned to day trading equities and then to the FX market. Although he sometimes uses candlestick charts to watch moving averages and trend lines, Lindsey primarily uses pressure charts to locate support and resistance levels for trade entries. Although most of his day trades are on the short side, Lindsey’s entry timing and money-management method while in trades have proved valuable to investors and have helped many followers become successful traders.
